Euro-Christian Partners is committed to bringing the gospel to the villages of Eastern Europe by financially and prayerfully supporting national pastors and Christian workers who are willing to serve in these villages. This is done by establishing active partnerships between churches and Christians in the United States and Christian national pastors and Christian workers who serve in the rural villages of Eastern Europe.
Why VILLAGES in Eastern Europe?
Life for people in the villages in Eastern Europe is very difficult. It is not uncommon to see unemployment as high as 75 to 80 percent. Families exist on what they can grow on their small plots of land. They often barter for food and for other material things that they need. Some are fortunate and receive financial help from relatives working in Western Europe. The village people have very little money to support a pastor. As a result, most of the villages have no evangelical church.
There are thousands of these villages scattered throughout Eastern Europe. In Romania it is estimated that seven million people live in these rural communities.
For many years this part of the world was closed to the gospel. Now it is open and the former persecuted church is taking an active role in winning Eastern Europe for Christ.
